Luma Ventures partners with Startup Hub Poland

Luma Ventures has become the partner of the Startup Hub Warsaw accelerator. As part of the cooperation, Piotr Ciżkowicz and Tomasz Cichowicz became mentors of 9 start-ups that qualified into this year's edition of the program. For three months, mentors helped companies, among others in building an effective business strategy. One of the start-ups mentored by Luma Ventures won the acceleration program and received PLN 50,000 equity-free grant.

Startup Hub Poland is a non-profit foundation whose goal is to support technological development in the Central and Eastern Europe and to promote its global position as a place where disruptive technologies are born. As part of the foundation there was created the Startup Hub Warsaw accelerator, which in 2017 organized the second edition of the 4-month program. 30 selected start-ups from the CEE region was chosen to second edition. This year, 335 companies applied to the accelerator.

Providing non-financial support to start-ups is one of the Luma Ventures’ key strategic assumption. For the fund, cooperation with Startup Hub Warsaw and active involvement in the development of early-stage companies is an important contribution to building a competetive CEE start-up ecosystem.
