Robert received his education in economics at the Wrocław University of Economics, then he studied project management at the George Washington University in Washington.
Prior to taking up the position in Luma Investment, Robert was the CEO in a global holding company, KGHM International, where he was responsible for building and realisation of short- and long-term strategies of the Group, mining assets management in Canada, Chile and United States of America, and supervision over new mining projects in Ontario and BC in Canada.
Previously, he held a position of a deputy manager for the “greenfield” mining project in FNX Mining Company Inc. in Canada where he was responsible for supervision and management of the project implementation. Robert was involved in a number of duties, such as drawing up and supervision over a project’s budget, negotiation of terms and conditions of agreements and contracts, establishing cooperation with business partners and making decisions in project key matters.
Moreover, Robert has vast experience in international trade, marketing and finance. He worked for a number of companies on various managerial positions, where he held responsibility for development and implementation of financial policy of an enterprise, cooperation with financing institutions, as well as organisation and obtaining various financing. He managed trading and marketing departments, by, among others, creation of sales strategy, negotiations of contract terms with key contractors; he successfully established and monitored risk management structures.
Robert was a member of Supervisory Boards of InfoMonitor Biuro Informacji Gospodarczej [Economic Information Bureau] and KGHM Kupferhandel, as well as of those of the mining industry i.a. KGHM Ajax Mining, Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń [Mine Construction Enterprise] and FNX Mining Company.
